BP appoints Nationals

Posted: 15 July 2003

BP’s Chief Representative Office in Abu Dhabi has recently appointed two UAE Nationals to its team, both from Abu Dhabi. Ameena Hussain Thabet has taken on the role of Payroll Administrator while Noura Saeed Al Kahtan is now Receptionist for the office.

Ameena graduated with a Higher National Diploma in Banking from Abu Dhabi Women’s College and formerly held a variety of responsible positions at Union National Bank and ADMA-OPCO.

Noura holds a Diploma in Business Administration and previously worked for Citibank and Zayed Military Hospital.

“BP has a global policy of diversity and inclusion which includes employing nationals and women wherever it operates, and both Ameena and Noura are eminently qualified and possess the personal and behavioural skills BP needs,” said Nick Cochrane-Dyet, Government and Public Affairs Manager, BP.

“As a native Abu Dhabian I have always wanted to work in the oil industry and BP is one of the most respected of all the world’s oil companies. They care about their employees and their professional and career growth. My goal now is to work hard and improve myself to be able to break in to the marketing area of the company,” Noura said.
