Technip €65 million marine operations contract

Technip, through its Norwegian affiliate Technip Offshore Norge
AS, has been awarded by Statoil an installation contract for the
infield flowlines, service lines and umbilicals at the Snøhvit
field.
The contract, valued above 65 million EUR, includes the following:
Installation of 13%Cr infield flowlines (17km, 14”), installation
of a CO2 pipeline (150km, 8”), two off service lines (143km
each, 4”) from Melkøya to Snøhvit, umbilicals
(170km) infield and from Melkøya to Snøhvit, spool
installation and tie-ins.
All linepipe and umbilicals are supplied by Statoil. The infield
lines will be installed and tied-in during 2004 and the remainder
of the installation will be performed in 2005.
The project management and engineering for the work will be performed
in Oslo, Norway, and the fabrication of the pipelines will take
place at Technip’s welding base in Orkanger, Norway and possibly
Evanton, Scotland. Several of the Technip’s vessels will be
used for the offshore installation activities.
