LNG 14 exhibition expands

Posted: 15 September 2003

The Exhibition to be held in conjunction with the Fourteenth International Conference on Liquefied Natural Gas has announced plans to expand the size of the Exhibition.

To be held in Doha, Qatar from 21-24 March 2004 and held triennially, LNG 14 is regarded as the definitive event for the Liquefied Natural Gas industry.

The Exhibition occupied some 10,000m2 when last held in Seoul in 2001 and the organisers, Exhibitions and Trade Fairs Pty Ltd (ETF) have announced plans to expand from their original 10,000m2 Hall with the inclusion of an additional 6,000m2 facility.

Announcing the expansion of the LNG 14 Exhibition, Bryan Humphris, Exhibition Director stated that “With the projected growth of the LNG industry over the next 5 years, we shouldn’t be surprised that the industry’s major Exhibition should see significant growth since the last event.

The Douglas-Westwood and OTM Consulting report states that they expect over $39billion is to be spent in the next 5 years, including 18 new liquefaction train, the LNG Carrier fleet to expand to over 200 vessels and 21 new import terminals, which will be offering a total of 78million tonnes per annum of additional output capacity over the next 5 years.”

The 6,000m2 structure is situated alongside the original Exhibition Hall and companies exhibiting in this area will be virtually guaranteed excellent delegate traffic flow as their daily luncheons will be served exclusively in this extension area of the Exhibition.

Already ChevronTexaco Corporation, Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering, Sakhalin and Texaco Angola Natural Gas Inc have booked large areas in this hall.

Full details on the Conference will be announced shortly and Conference enquiries can be directed to www.lng14.com.qa.
