names first country manager for Egypt

New appointment confirms increased focus on Egypt, the
Levant and North Africa
Intel Corporation today announced that Karim Fahmy has been named
Intel’s Country Manager for Egypt, the Levant and North Africa.
This appointment comes as part of Intel’s strategic plans
for the Middle East which it sees as a key focus for the coming
years. Karim will be based at Intel’s office in Cairo to manage
the operation that will drive the growth of Intel’s business
in Egypt, the Levant and North Africa.
Prior to moving into his new role, Karim, was the Worldwide Marketing
Manager with Intel’s Reseller Products Group where he was
in charge of marketing for Intel server products to the dealer/integrator
channel. Since joining Intel in 1994, he has held various positions,
including, engineering, software development, manufacturing management,
and OEM marketing.
