First scaleable RTOC enables any operator to leverage the
rewards from real-time processes
Landmark Graphics Corporation, a wholly owned business unit of
Halliburton, announced the release of the Portable Real-time Operations
Center solution.
Incorporating Landmark and Halliburton real-time technologies and
services, this mobile version of a real-time operations center delivers
the same advantages and values to the customer.
The Portable RTOC is a cost effective IT solution that can be deployed
and redeployed in multiple facilities to meet the broad and changing
needs of E&P operating companies of any size.
"The technologies and services we use in our real-time operations
centers have been proven to dramatically lower operations costs
and improve integration between asset team knowledge workers, especially
in well planning, drilling and completions operations. Since 2000
Halliburton has completed over 10,000 real-time well planning and
drilling operations world wide. Our Portable RTOC delivers these
same business values to our worldwide customers," said Andy
Lane, president and CEO of Landmark Graphics.
Traditional RTOC's are customised IT environments deployed within
dedicated company facilities linking the office to real-time field
operations. Facilities of this type require a significant investment
for an asset or group of assets. Portable RTOC's can be moved to
any site for versatile implementation. Landmark is delivering the
same service quality with scalability to service one well or an
entire field.
"Our proven real-time methodologies are now accessible for
all customers, no matter their size or strategic need," said
Murray Roth, executive vice president Marketing and Systems, Landmark
Graphics. "Through portable RTOC's we are minimising the investment
in IT, lowering the barrier of entry for our customers, and providing
a quicker return on investment."
