Chrysalis learning appoints new managing director
Posted: 8 October 2003
Chrysalis Learning, a leading provider of training, competence,
management and documentation solutions to the oil, gas and refinery
industry, has appointed Louise Ferguson as its new managing director.
Chrysalis, a division of operations management company Petrofac
Facilities Management, was acquired by Petrofac in April 2003. The
company, which is based in Petrofac’s Aberdeen headquarters
in Bridge View, North Esplanade West, has grown from eight to 24
staff since the acquisition, with the creation of an additional
base in Lowestoft.
Louise, who has been with Petrofac Facilities Management for five
years as Human Resources Director, replaces Rasik Valand as managing
director of Chrysalis. Mr Valand will now focus on developing strategic
and international opportunities for Chrysalis overseas.
Louise said: "We seek to provide a service that ensures a
safe and competent workforce for our clients, using the most appropriate
tools and technologies.
"We are able to support our customers in the UK, but, taking
advantage of the international strength of Petrofac and the strategic
role it plays will enable us to develop our business overseas. I
am particularly pleased that we have Rasik with us. He has been
with Chrysalis Learning since the start of the organisation eight
years ago and his experience will be a huge asset in our future
growth.
"Chrysalis will continue to develop products and set the benchmark
in the design and delivery of training programmes of the highest
standard. This is an exciting time both for Chrysalis Learning and
for training in the industry as a whole."
