Peak Group appoints non-executive director

Specialist in well engineering and operations management, The Peak
Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Stuart Ferguson
as a Non-Executive Director
Mr Ferguson (37) is Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President
of Weatherford International Ltd, based in Houston.
Previously, Mr Ferguson served in Weatherford's Completion Systems
Division, becoming Division President in 2002. Prior to joining
Weatherford, Mr Ferguson worked for Petroline Wellsystems Ltd, The
Expro Group and BP Exploration.
Mr Ferguson will play an active part in The Peak Group's strategic
business planning, including international expansion, acquisition
opportunities and new product development.
The Peak Group Managing Director, Andrew Paterson, said he had
invited Mr Ferguson to join the board after hearing him speak at
a business breakfast for the launch of Offshore Europe in September.
Mr Paterson said: "I have known Stuart for some time and I
have always had the utmost respect for him.
Having listened to Stuart talk at Offshore Europe about the need
for a better probabilistic approach to well operations, I realised
that he would add significantly to the management team at Peak.
"Stuart understands fully the approach of a service company,
especially in the well construction business, and we are delighted
to have him join us as a Non-Executive Director.
He has huge enthusiasm, great motivational ability, and an incisive
mind — we think these qualities will add to the strength of
our company.
