Jacobs gets contract from GlaxoSmithKline, Singapore

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc announced a subsidiary company in
Singapore was appointed by GlaxoWellcome Manufacturing Pte Ltd (a
GlaxoSmithKline company) to deliver scheme design and engineering,
procurement, and construction management services to redevelop the
facilities that house technical development and quality assurance/quality
control analytical testing support to manufacturing at Jurong, Singapore.
Officials did not disclose the contract value.
Jacobs' Singapore office will deliver these services through special
emphasis on environment, health & safety, optimized space planning,
and the GSK "flexi-lab" concept.
In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Arlan Emmert
stated, "We are very pleased that GSK selected us to support
them on this crucial project. We currently provide professional
services for several important assignments, and this award will
expand our relationship with GSK in Singapore.
Jacobs, with over 35,000 employees and revenues approaching $5.0
