Jingemia Oil Field — second extended production test starts
Posted: 3 November 2003
Hardman Resources Ltd has been advised by the project operator
of EP413, Origin Energy Resources Limited, that as at 1130 hours
(WST) on 1 November 2003, oil production testing had commenced at
Jingemia Oil Field, following regulatory approval and upgrades to
both the access road and Jingemia temporary facilities.
As at 0600 hours today the Jingemia-1 well was producing at approximately
1,700 barrels of oil per day.
The second extended production test (EPT) has been approved to
be completed by 1 February 2004 (approximately three month production
period).
During the first month an interference test will be conducted between
Jingemia-1 and -3. Following the results of this testing it is expected
that injection of water from Jingemia-3 will commence to provide
pressure support to the reservoir.
This phase of water injection is subject to separate Government
approval.
The aim of the extended production test is to acquire additional
information on reservoir performance and pressure maintenance to
enable the formulation of a field development plan and confirm the
facilities required for permanent field development and continuous
oil production.
During the period of the test the oil produced will be trucked
to the BP oil refinery south of Perth for sale.
Participants in EP413 and Jingemia-1 are as follows:
Origin Energy Development Pty Limited (Operator) 49.189 per cent
Hardman Oil and Gas Pty Ltd 22.376 per cent
AWE (Perth Basin) Pty Ltd 15.245 per cent
