Qatar’s trusted international Bank and Skywards launch
new credit card
Standard Chartered, Qatar’s first bank, has teamed up with
MasterCard and Emirates to launch a prestigious co-branded Standard
Chartered Skywards Credit Card, which combines enhanced travel rewards
and great MasterCard features.
Bringing a new level of convenience and value, the partnership
will give Qatar-based customers an enviable ability to earn while
they spend.
Arif Mansoor, Chief Executive, Standard Chartered Bank Qatar noted
that, as the Bank is a leading player in the credit cards business
throughout the region, “launching this great credit card enables
us to provide unique advantages to our customers.” Mansoor
continued, “We are delighted to lead the way in Qatar through
this strategic partnership with MasterCard and Emirates.”
The Standard Chartered Skywards Credit Card gives the cardholder
one Skywards Mile for every four Qatari riyals spent on the card.
Cardholders earn Skywards Miles every time they use their card,
and whenever they fly Emirates or their partner airlines. The card
also includes membership to Skywards Blue – the first tier
of Emirates’ Frequent Flyer Programme.
Skywards Miles can be exchanged for free flights on Emirates or
their partner airlines, upgrades, leisure activities and luxury
goods.
Speaking at the grand launch of the new card, B Chandrasekhar,
Regional Head of Credit Cards for Standard Chartered Bank in the
Middle East and South Asia, said: “In addition to providing
customers with an easy and convenient way to earn free flights and
upgrades, the Standard Chartered Skywards Credit Card has a great
range of many other special privileges which we look forward to
sharing with our customers.”

Standard Chartered Bank has added to the excitement with a fabulous
introductory offer. Successful applicants for the Gold Card will
receive 25,000 free Skywards Miles, exchangeable for a free return
ticket to Delhi, Mumbai, Karachi, Beirut and many other destinations.
Successful applicants for the Standard Card will receive 10,000
free Skywards Miles, which is equivalent to a free return ticket
to Bahrain, Oman or the UAE. This limited period offer also includes
free excess baggage and other advantages.
