ExecuJet Middle East takes off in Saudi Arabia
Posted: 23 November 2003
New regional office and expansion strategy prioritises
security, productivity and convenience for business travellers and
VIPs across the region
ExecuJet Middle East, one of the region’s leading aviation
services companies, today inaugurated a new regional office for
the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as part of its strategy to drive sales
and offer heightened levels of customer support in the private jet
travel sector.
The new office will be headed by Saudi national Dr. Saad Al-Ahmad,
Account Manager, ExecuJet Middle East. Dr. Al-Ahmad, with the support
of ExecuJet’s extended team in the region, will be responsible
for enhancing the company’s presence in the Kingdom.
Dr. Al-Ahmad brings significant industry experience to the role,
having served as a consultant for Saudi Army Aviation, as well as
introducing new management techniques to VVIP State Aircraft, and
developing business plans for a number of aircraft agents within
Saudi Arabia. He has also taught aero-science for cadets in the
Royal Saudi Air Force, as assistant professor for the King Faisal
Air Academy.
Commenting on the launch of the new office, Horm Irani, Managing
Director, ExecuJet Middle East, said: “Given its size, resources,
and growing population, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a critical
market for ExecuJet. For us to continue to build upon our success
in the executive aviation sector, we have to be prepared to meet
the needs of the region’s most influential people by providing
the highest levels of service and the most advanced facilities available.”
“Our customers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have justifiably
high expectations about the level of service, security and flexibility
provided by their executive aviation experience, and we’re
confident that the new office – under Saad Al-Ahmad’s
direction – will help us to exceed those expectations,”
added Irani.
The new office is based in Riyadh, and will offer ongoing support
for customers in their use of executive jets, including a range
of charter options, operational support, new and pre-owned jet sales,
and aviation financing services.
Saudi Arabia has emerged as one of the most dynamic territories
within the Middle East’s executive aviation market, registering
strong growth in demand for business jets and charter services in
2003.
Companies within the Kingdom have traditionally deployed business
aviation as a tool for helping senior executives cover a vast amount
of territory in a timeframe and manner that would be impossible
using surface transport or scheduled flight options. Further stimulus
has been provided by the regulatory decision in 2003 to open the
Kingdom’s domestic aviation sector for competition among national
companies.
Executives at ExecuJet have expressed confidence that, through
their strong relationships in the Kingdom and with the support of
the new office, they will be in a prime position to capitalize upon
the country’s potential for rapid growth.
“The nature of our business dictates that we should always
be prepared for any sort of demand from customers and be able to
respond to changing situations. Customers in Saudi Arabia often
need flights at short notice or to be taken to destinations not
covered by existing scheduled flights, and we’re confident
that our new presence on the ground will enable a higher level of
response and innovation to suit their specific needs,” commented
Dr. Saad Al-Ahmad.
ExecuJet Middle East is the first independent business aviation
service provider to have received an air operators’ certificate
from the UAE civil aviation authority. It provides a total set of
aviation services associated with the sale, operation, management,
charter and support of modern high-technology business jets in the
Middle East.
