IEC 61508 and 61511 Process Safety Management Applications
Asset Integrity Management Limited offer a number of user-friendly
IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 based Process Safety Management software
tools.
These tools facilitate the efficient assessment of Safety Instrumented
Systems using LOPA, risk graph or risk matrix methodology.
Subsequently, appropriate design architecture for the associated
Safety Instrument Functions can be readily configured and the test
and maintenance frequencies automatically calculated to meet the
required Probability of Failure on Demand (PFD).
A maintenance module captures mature data to complete the lifecycle.
The database may be networked to provide a visible and secure audit
trail for the lifecycle of Safety Instrumented Systems.

SILHazop - A fully configurable and comprehensive Hazop
tool
Selected worksheets may be exported to SILLopa or SILClass for SIL
determination.
SILClass - To undertake SIL determination using a risk
graph approach
Use of generic IEC 61508 risk graph, or a risk graph/risk matrix
graphical builder to construct safety, economic and environment
graphs/matrices to accommodate client specific requirements.
Calculation of maintenance/test intervals to align them with the
SIL determination and associated PFD.
M out of N calculation capability for initiators, logic solvers
and final elements.
PFD of parallel SIF and IPL combinations to take credit for devices
such as relief valves.
Calculation of Safe Failure Fraction and Hardware Fault Tolerance.
Calculation of common mode dependency Beta factor.
SILLopa - To undertake SIL determination using Layers of
Protection Analysis
Efficient safety, economic and environmental assessments using automated
LOPA calculation
SILCalc - Calculates PFD and test intervals for any complex
functions
Result may be exported to SILLopa or SILClass as required.
SILAlarm - Classify and prioritise alarms in line with
EEMUA guidelines
Result may be exported to SILLopa or SILClass as required.
SILTest - Schedules and generates test and maintenance
routines
Captures mature plant specific reliability data for feedback into
SILClass and SILLopa and SILCalc test and maintenance calculation
modules.
