Fleet operators slash costs with Caltex

ChevronTexaco launched its flagship product — Caltex Delo
400 — to offer further costs savings and enhanced engine protection
to bus and truck fleet customers in the Middle East.
The advanced engine oil, otherwise known as Caltex Delo 400 Multigrade
SAE 15W engine oil, will be blended in the UAE and sold across the
region.
“This product saves you money,” said John Merrigan,
Middle East Regional Sales and Marketing Manager for ChevronTexaco
Global Lubricants. “Faced with a harsh climate and tough competition,
bus and truck fleet operators are looking for engine oils that make
a genuine difference to their bottom line. Rigorous product trials
in the region have shown that Caltex Delo 400 offers the perfect
solution — money-saving engine protection.”
Ideal for both diesel and petrol engines, Caltex Delo 400®
meets and exceeds API CI-4 specifications, the latest global standard
for engine oils set by the American Petroleum Institute. ChevronTexaco
will be the first company to offer locally blended API CI-4 engine
oil in the Middle East.
Peter Thomson, Global Delo Brand Manager of ChevronTexaco Global
Lubricants, said: “Independent laboratory tests show that
Delo 400 — based on advanced ISOSYN technology — exceeds
the requirements of API CI-4 and therefore offers even more value
for money.”
The American Petroleum Institute’s quality standard judges
engine oil performance in critical areas such as soot-related valve
train wear, oil thickening, filter plugging, sludge control, and
ring, liner and bearing wear.
Thomson added: “Delo 400 was also the first engine oil to
meet the EMA Global DHD-1 specification and fulfils the requirements
of all European, Japanese and American engines.”
