The Technip/Fels Setal consortium has been awarded by Petrobras
a contract worth approximately USD 775 million for the engineering
and construction of the P-52 semi-submersible production platform,
to be located in the Roncador field in the deep water of the Campos
Basin.
The project management, engineering, construction, mating, integration
and procurement activities of the project will be shared (25%/75%)
between Technip and Fels Setal.
Delivery of the floating production unit in Roncador production
site is due in 32 months from contract award. The project involves
the detailed engineering, procurement and construction of an 180,000
bpd semi-submersible production platform capable of operating in
water depths up to 1,800 meters.
Technip through its fully-owned subsidiary Technip Engenheria,
based in Rio de Janeiro, will be responsible for the overall detailed
engineering of the complete topsides (including process modules,
flare and deck box) for a total dry weight of 23 000 mt, as well
as the engineering procurement services and the offshore mating.
FELS Setal will be performing the detailed engineering and construction
of the lower hull, at Singapore the construction of the deckbox,
the topsides as well accommodation at its facilities in Angra dos
Reis and the process modules fabrication at its Niterio yard. Hook-up,
FPU integration, commissioning and pre-operations start-up will
be also done at Fels Setal yard located at Angra dos Reis.
The P-52 contract further establishes Technip/Fels Setal consortium
as a key supporter of Brazil’s effort to increase oil output
from Campos Basin and other Brazilian oil fields with significant
local content. With more than 25 years presence in Brazil, and the
