Petrobras President visits ENOC
Posted: 23 December 2003
The President of Petroleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras), Jose Edward
Dutra, recently paid a courtesy call on Emirates National Oil Company
(ENOC).
Accompanied by Nelson F. Aleida, Managing Director of Petrobras
Europe, Dutra met with Hussain Sultan, Group Chief Executive and
Board Member, ENOC and senior management of the ENOC Group to discuss
possible collaboration between Petrobras and ENOC.
Petrobras was established to operate Brazil’s oil sector
and has for the past 40 years been a leader in by-product distribution
throughout Brazil.
“This was an excellent opportunity for ENOC to present itself
to an organisation which is now one of the top 20 oil corporations
of international ranking,” said Sultan.
“We expressed ENOC’s keen interest in working jointly
with Petrobras. It was also a good opportunity for Petrobras to
better understand ENOC’s expansion plans and its desire to
be a partner of choice for major reputable companies wishing to
enter the Middle East market.”
Following the meeting at the ENOC House headquarters in Dubai,
the two parties met again at ENOC’s offices in Singapore where
further opportunities in oil products trading were explored.
